DARSFIELD VILLAGE FARMS & OUTGROWERS was proudly founded by Mrs. Cynthia Nkechi Ogosi-Darku, Dr. (Mrs) Irene Essein, Mr. Kodjo Edem Shine Mr. Kwashie Darkudzi & Ms. Vanessa Anifrani. However, other Directors that joined are Ms. Matilda Amewodey, Mr. Sanni Mohammed, Ms. Margaret Sakyi and Danny Adjei Nmai.

Matilda Amewodeys's Profile

National Secretary & PRO's Profile

The snails and mushroom section of Darsfield Village Farms & Out-growers Association is managed by Ms. Matilda Amewodey with the Advisory Board playing a supervisory role. Mrs. Matilda Amewodey is a teacher by profession and Entrepreneur (Agripreneur). She has taught for over 17 years and has in-depth knowledge extending skills training to others under her care. She is currently the Circuit Supervisor for Nsawam Djankrom B Circuit and where she ensures delivery of quality teaching and learning in all schools under her supervision. Currently, she is the National Secretary & PRO of Darsfield Village Farms & Out-growers Network operating in four regions (Ashanti, Volta, Central and Eastern region) across Ghana.


Ms. Matilda Amewodey has been involved in a number of Agri-projects especially in Nsawam Adoagyiri Municipal Assembly of which she has helped to financed many to fruition and helping others to develop export and marketing sales for her produce through partnership with Albe Farms. Secondly, she’s engaged in reviving all collapsed mushroom and snail projects that has collapsed in rural communities in all four regions of Ghana and providing technical guidelines to women and youths to be self- employed, to be skillful and open up their communities to agri-commercial opportunities. She joined Darsfarm some two years ago

Ms. Vanessa Anifrani's Profile

Darsfarm Association Chairman in Ghana & Nigeria

Ms. Vanessa Anifrani is the National Secretary & Packhouse Director and Co- founder of the organization - She has BSc. in Agricultural Engineering from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science & Technology- Kumasi and holds a master’s degree (MPhil) in Engineering for Sustainable Development from Cambridge University, UK. She is Graduate of PhD in the United States. Her research interests include Agro-Waste Management & Utilization for Rural Energy and Development as well as sustainable bioenergy production and appraisal.

Sanni Mohammed Profile

Head of Processors

Sanni Mohammed currently manage the daily operation of Unique Solution Farms. Sanni is a graduate with a degree in Business Accounting and he has five years of experience working in Food Processing and natural food stores. Sanni is responsible for production and distribution for Unique Solution Farms.
Sanni Mohammed is one of the founding members of the Darsfield Village Farms & Outgrowers (Darsfarm) Network operating in rural Ghana. Sanni started as a cashier and advanced to the position of Store Manager in 2004 and he has also worked with constructional firm in Accra. Both processing factory and Darsfarm has grown into a community fixture under his management.

Frank Arhin's Profile

Financial Controller Profile

Frank is financial controller and a member of the board of directors of  Darsfarm Foundation.
In this role, he has responsibility for the accounting, control, internal audit, investor relations, strategic planning, tax and treasury functions. Jake joined Darsfarm in 2018.
Prior to Darsfam, Frank worked at several large diversified companies, including Ecobank Ghana, Kawbre District Finance Department and Netis Ghana LTD. Where He has achieved over 30% improvement of the company’s reporting system by initiating strategic revenue planning and performing analysis as well as forecasting. 
Frank received a Bachelor of Business Administration, degree in Accounting, with distinction, from Garden City University, where he was elected to be SRC Treasure of the University. He is a member of ICA Ghana.

DARSFIELD VILLAGE FARMS & OUTGROWERS (THE ORGANIC COMMERCIAL FARMERS)

Darsfarm, a producer of organic fruits, vegetables and fruit juice has a strong reputation for producing high- quality products. It has established supply relationship with fruit producers (out-growers) in local areas and actively provides advice and support to the independent orchardists in order to enhance the company’s supply of fruits and vegetables.

 

The project seeks to expand the organic farming operations and further diversify to establish fruit beverage production. The company presently cultivates fruits, vegetables, roots & tubers and also rears livestock using organic farming methods. Through this project, the company aims at increasing output level as well as diversifying its operations encompass fruit processing. The project seeks to develop a multi-tier diversified agricultural production, which utilizes agricultural waste to produce high value edible fruits & vegetables and medicinal mushroom.

(DARSFARM) is a commercial primary producer of organic food-

•Fruits: Pineapple & Papaya &

•Vegetables: All kinds of peppers, mushroom, snails & others and

•Plant medicine (Moringa & Xylopia) for better health of consumers.

 

We do some agro-processing of cassava flakes (gari) and dough,

Medicinal & Nutritional Supplements,: Moringa oleifera & Xylopia aethiopica powder.

Essential Unsaturated Oils: (Neem Oil, Baobab Oil, Moringa Oil, Allanblackia fat, Sheabutter & Shea Oil)

DARSFARM is partnering with Darsfield EarthCare & Farm-Tech Foundation (Darsfoundation) and collaborating with small farm holders of rural Ghana to produce organic food for better life. Currently we have 712 members and more are under training to join.

​

The 712 farmers are working on 10860 acres of farmland, who are cultivating 2900 acres for papaya and intercropped with pepper,

160 acres for medicinal herbs (Xylopia aethiopica & Moringa)

1100 acres for pineapple and

700 acres for cassava 10 Greenhouses for vegetables.

Darsfarm has secured 6000 acres of farmland at Affram Plains for Integrated Sustainable Organic Farming (a technology that combines Agroforestry farming, Conservation agriculture to Sustainable organic farming). Where we are growing breadfruit, dragon fruits, cashew, passion fruits, coconuts, mango, ylang ylang, papaya and organic vegetables.

We also provide training in sustainable organic farming to farmers in Ghana and across Africa.

New members in Ghana are welcome to apply and join us, after a year in coaching and mentorship in organic farming of fruits mushroom, and vegetables including green-housing technology farming.

Darsfield Village Farms & Out-growers (DARSFARM) in collaboration with Darsfield EarthCare & Farm-Tech Foundation (Darsfoundation- www.darsfoundation.org) and with over 160 Out-Growers in rural Ghana to promoting the return to smallholder farming for food security, creating jobs and wealth for the rural masses in addition to protecting and promoting indigenous seeds for the tropics, protection of land and waterbodies.
