THE EFFECTS OF BAD pH FACTOR

Another look at pH, the power of hydrogen. A good pH of soil is very important to crop performance, it help is crop protection from diseases. It helps in the absorption and assimilation of nutrients, it helps in excellent growth of plants, it helps in better germination of seeds and improves taste of food. Now in a balance pH for most crops are between

6.5-7.5 anything more or less than this range has specific crops that can preform in it.

pH of soil at Affram Plains after our test shows that it's high acidic hence all player were informed n adviced to nursed n grow their crops in compost n spray on weekly basis organic liquid fertilizer but all this hasn't been adhere to. So once again am advising everyone to begin preparing compost for their farms. If your compost is bad such as highly acidic you can be zero germination of seeds n stunted growth of crops that can easily be attacked by diseases. With bad pH you have weeds growing faster than the food you have cultivated on the farm. Another area of improving pH of the land is to add lime of which many of u refused to prepare from shells of snails n bones or buy from agric shops.

After many inspection of farms and I noticed curly leaf (a viral) diseases of all those who cultivated pepper n tomatoes on their farms, now when you have this disease on your farm the plant doesn't fruit, it just consume time, resources and labour but it doesn't fruit. The leaves of plant become smaller n dies away for tomatoes it curls and dry up. If you detect any plant at early stages uproot n bury or burn it

Lastly I've observed that most farmers at Affram Plains could not account properly to activities they undertook on the farms and no record keeping, so many doesn't even know when transplanting and spraying were done....

So starting January 1st all farmers are to keep books for record keeping for staff movement, farm operations, resource inventory n others
